MISSION STATEMENT
 
It is the mission of the Department of Public Works, Sanitation Division to assure collection and treatment of wastewater generated by the residents served by the City of Fulton, while meeting or exceeding all regulatory requirements and continually maintaining and improving the wastewater infrastructure at the most reasonable rates.
 

SYSTEM OVERVIEW
 
The Fulton Sanitation Department, a division of the Department of Public Works, maintains and improves the sanitary and storm sewer collection systems.  Within these systems, there are approximately 55 miles of sanitary sewer lines and 60 miles of storm sewer lines.  The department is responsible for the operations and maintenance of these lines along with 16 sanitary pumping stations and one storm sewer pumping station.  The City of Fulton also owns and operates a 3.4 million gallon per day sewage treatment plant.
