MISSION STATEMENT

 

To pursue excellence by working in concert through effective partnerships with our community; to improve the quality of life to all of our citizens and visitors.

 


 

The City of Fulton is served by a full time police force of 34 sworn officers.  The department is supported by two clerical staff and an Animal Control Officer.  The Department consists of the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, Patrol Commander (Lieutenant), Traffic and Training Sergeant who oversees two civilian employees of the City’s Traffic Department, the Patrol Division which consists of 27 officers and the Criminal Investigative Division which consists of four officers.

The Police Department has a had web site since 2001 and was proud to release a newly redesigned site in April of 2010.  It is updated regularly and the public is asked to visit frequently to learn about the Department and the services it provides and to provide information when the Departments asks for help.

The City of Fulton is entering the final stages of demolition at the former Nestle site. In order to complete that process State Route 481 will be closed:

 

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 14, 2017 and

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2017

From 7:00AM through 6:00PM on both dates

On street parking will be prohibited on affected streets during the above listed times.

 

Beginning Thursday September 14, 2017 at 7:00AM State Route 481 will be closed and traffic will be detoured onto

South First Street
for both north and south bound traffic. North bound traffic will be diverted onto S.
First Street
at the former Chevrolet dealership now known as Prime Auto. Traffic will travel S.
First Street
to
Division Street
where it will return to State Route 481.

 

South bound Traffic will be diverted at

Division Street
traveling
South First Street
where it will return to State Route 481 at the Former Chevrolet Dealership.

 

South First Street
residents will see a significant increase in traffic for the duration of the closure and should plan accordingly.
