Juvenile Firesetter

Juvenile Firesetting has been identified as the fastest growing fire threat in the United States.  Annual statistics show more than 300 people are killed and nearly $300 million dollars in property is destroyed by fires set by children.  More than 30% of the victims are the children themselves.

The City of Fulton Fire Department has been providing residents with fire and burn prevention since 1982.  The Juvenile Firesetter Program is designed to educate children ages 3 - 17 about fire and its consequences.  The Juvenile Firesetter Program is available for families seven days a week.  The City of Fulton Fire Department has six firefighters trained as Juvenile Firesetter Interventionists to provide intervention and fire safety education.
